First United Methodist Church is home to Boy Scout Troup 90 and Cub Scout Pack 90.  The mission of these groups is to offer boys experiences that build character.  This is accomplished through outdoor adventures, family activities, and lots of fun.  Both groups are open to boys of all religious affiliations which have a strong responsibility to Boy Scouts of America's duty to God.  

 

If you have a boy who is between the ages of 11 and 17 years old who is interested in Boy Scouts, please contact our Scoutmaster, Mike Henderson at 752-8718 or come by and visit the Troop in the Church Basement, Scout Room, every Tuesday night at 6:30pm."

Camping on Lake Tuscaloosa with troop working on Motor Boating and Small Boat Sailing merit badges

Camporee at Lake Lurleen

Older Scouts camping at Palisades where they will be rock climbing and rappelling

October 8, 9, 10 and 11

Camping at Shiloh, Tennessee where the Troop will be hiking a 20 mile trail on Friday and a 14 mile trail on Saturday

 

November 13, 14 and 15

Camping possible backpacking trip to Sipsey Wilderness

 

December 4, 5 and 6

Camping at White Bluff in Demopolis

 

January 15, 16, 17 and 18

Skiing trip to North Carolina or West Virginia

Camping at Mobile to attend Mardi Gras
