Wellness is the pursuit of good overall health and total well-being. It is marked by intentional living that
focuses on growth in all areas of life – emotional, spiritual, mental, and physical. For over 25 years,
FUMCT has been blessed by a strong fitness program which offers a weight room, walking track, and
fitness classes. We will continue to promote physical health as we add new programs, small groups, and
events that emphasize complete wellness and whole person care.
Stop by the resource area outside the CAC office to borrow books or pick up class schedules,

Senior Fitness - Mondays at 8:00 a.m. & Fridays at 8:00 a.m.
Mondays, Tuesdays, & Fridays at 9:00 a.m. – Cardio, step, or conditioning (options for all levels)
Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m. – Yoga
Open business hours:
Mondays – Thursdays: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Fridays: 8:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Please sign in and out at the main office when using the track.
Body and Soul Fitness Room
The Body and Soul Fitness Room offers 6 Bodymaster selectorized weight machines, a Smith machine, a Multi-station system, Olympic free weights, 2 treadmills, a bike, an elliptical, a stair climber, a small rebounder, and stretching area. It
is currently open to staff, church members and program participants ages 19 and over during church business hours by appointment. Email Janice Stewart to schedule orientations and workout times in Body and Soul for individuals or groups with 4 or less people.
Girls’ Softball and Sole to Soul Walking Groups in the spring, pickleball, SPIRIT (Meditative) yoga, prayer walking, family events, and more! For more info on the Wellness Group on Facebook here.

The Area Agency on Aging of West Alabama will teach “A Matter of Balance: Managing Concernsabout Falls” at FUMCT on Tuesdays March 21 – May 9 10:00 – 11:30 in the Lee Classroom. This special workbook-based class includes discussion, balance exercises, and a talk from a guest professional. Register by emailing Janice Stewart.

Sole to Soul Walking Groups will hit the paths and sidewalks in early March.
