Funeral Services
At First United Methodist Church Tuscaloosa, we are honored to walk with families during times of loss.
Our clergy and staff offer compassionate guidance as you plan a service that honors your loved one with dignity, gratitude, and faith.
Whether held in our historic Sanctuary or our more intimate Chapel, each funeral or memorial service is a sacred act of remembrance. Together, we give thanks for a life lived, commend your loved one into God’s eternal care, and proclaim the hope that sustains us even in sorrow.
Our team will work closely with you to plan readings, music, and meaningful elements that reflect both your loved one’s story and the promises of our faith. You do not have to navigate this season alone. We are here to support you every step of the way.

The Columbarium
FUMCT is also home to a consecrated Columbarium, a peaceful and sacred space within our church grounds. Designed as a final resting place for cremated remains, the Columbarium offers a quiet setting for prayer, reflection, and remembrance.
Niches are available to church members, their families, and others connected to the life of our congregation. For many, it is a meaningful way to remain connected to the faith community that shaped their lives.
To learn more about planning a funeral or memorial service, or to inquire about the Columbarium, please contact the church office or click here to submit our online form. We would be honored to assist you.
